Where – 490 Bishop’s Lodge Road
Outdoor:
When – Most days when the weather is appropriate, starting earlier in summer, later in winter. Plans are often discussed in the TeamReach app.
What – 12 dedicated public courts with permanent nets and no fee. This is the primary location for play in Santa Fe.
Open Play –
All courts 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m except Monday which will offered nine open play courts
Limited courts 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
There are scheduled club activities, usually on six courts
All courts 5:00 p.m – dark.
If the courts are full, please. use the paddle racks. The south court rack is inside the courts toward the middle. The north court rack is on the outside of Court 1. Use the rack when the courts are full. When a game finishes, the group should come off the court. Place your paddle in the rack from left to right to hold your place for the next available court.
The clip signifies which group is next and it moves from left to right.
If the upcoming group is not full, that group can add someone coming off or defer to the next group. If they choose to defer, they should move their paddles to the groups spot that was deferred to in order to not lose their place.
If there are open courts you are not required to give up your court.
If you show up alone, and the courts aren’t full, you should not expect to be allowed to play in. Sometimes people just want to stick with their group.
That being said, BE KIND, HAVE FUN, teach someone, learn something, include someone.
